Where to stay
Pick a resort with a pool and a calm beach. The Zona Romántica is fun for adults and a lot of stairs, noise and late bars for small children. I would not start a family week there.
- Nuevo Vallarta: large all-inclusives and long flat beaches.
- Marina Vallarta: close to the airport and boat departures.
- Hotel Zone: resorts near town.
